Present for the Conservation Commission and attending the meeting were: Pam Goff, Sandy Broyard, Dick Smith, Donald Poole and Chuck Hodgkinson. Matt Flanders also attended. Richard Steves, Caitlin Jones and Wes Cottle were absent.
The meeting came to order at 12:30 PM. Ms. Goff was appointed as acting Chair. The site visits for today’s meeting were made on August 2.
Ms. Goff asked for a moment of silence to remember Bruce Bartels.
RFD MATT FLANDERS FOR LOESER LIMITED PARTNERSHIP; 29 Cove Road; AP 27.1-23: Mr. Flanders summarized the request to perform on-going tree care maintenance that inludes pruning, removing deadwood, shaping and thinning the canopies and possibly remove one or two trees that are in poor health. The work will take place in a wetland buffer zone and within the first 100-foot section of the river front zone of a perennial brook. After brief discussion a motion was made for a negative determination with the following special condition: The perpetual maintenance of the trees in the work area is permitted provided the maintenance plan is reviewed with the Conservation
Agent before work begins. The motion was seconded and unanimously approved with four in favor.
CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE; SE 12 – 629; WINDY GATES ASSOCIATION; AP 29-27: The Commission reviewd the photos of the completed repairs to the granite bridge over a the stream on Windy Gates Road. A motion was made to approve the Certificate of Compliance. The motion was seconded and unanimosuly approved with four in favor.
ADMINISTRATION:
The July 20, 2011 Meeting Minutes were approved as presented by consensus.
